Lists. Things to buy. Things to do. This time of year, and even the start to a new year, can feel overwhelmingly busy. And that’s the thing about busyness—it robs us of our time spent doing what truly matters. That’s why being intentional is so important. I keep reminding myself to take one day at a time, moment by moment. Remember what’s important. Prioritize time spent with the Lord. And carve away unnecessary busyness to make more room for what truly matters ♥️

Are you a decorate all at once type of person, or do you decorate for the season gradually? I typically decorate all in one day and then add little details over a week or so. ♥️

Loving this view in our kitchen. The garland is legit from the dollar store like 4 years ago. And then I added some orange slices that I dried the other day. 🍊 🌲 So simple, and yet it makes me smile.// Also, does anyone else feel like December is already going by way too fast??

Today has been pretty dang cozy. ♥️

Swipe for the before! // When the previous owners replaced the appliances, the vent hood was smaller, creating a gap between it and the backsplash. So there was this awkward space where the wall was exposed. Well, for $6, Billy made this wood hook fixture that solved that problem! We already had the wood and the hooks are from Amazon. An easy, creative solution! This will be a fun space to decorate with the seasons 🧡

This time of year...For some, it’s blissful and brimming with excitement. For others, it’s busy and chaotic. Or perhaps, it’s a reminder of loss or the not yet. Whatever emotions this time of year stirs within you, I pray that you are filled with peace. You are loved by the Creator. My word for this season is “perspective.” To remember to keep God first and to have a heart of gratitude and generosity. ♥️
