Week 2 has come to a close, and I can officially say I completed the challenge of working out twice this week. 😄
For my first workout, I did some ballet barre fitness using YouTube on my tv screen. It was really fun and felt like I had a trainer right in my living room! As a former ballerina, I absolutely love this style of fitness and could really see myself doing more of that in the future. It wasn’t hard on my back and I was definitely feeling the burn.
For my second workout, I went for a couple mile walk with my hubby around our neighborhood. We’re trying to enjoy our beautiful location before it gets too hot. Plus, walking is a lot of fun when you get to look at pretty houses along the way! (I’m obsessed with Mediterranean style homes!)
Okay, so let’s try working out three times this week. This’ll be interesting as I start teaching at the first week of summer camp. But, I’m up for the challenge! (Also, as a part of this challenge, try implimenting a new type of workout that you’ve never tried before! Keep things fresh!)
If you’ve just now decided to join my fitness challenge, you can start anytime!
Today, I thought I’d share with you my recipe for a refreshing and healthy smoothie! (Bonus!) Why is it that making smoothies is so FUN?!
Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 Peach yogurts
1/2 Cup of frozen Mango
1/4 Cup of frozen pineapple
1 Teaspoon of honey
1 Handful of spinach
Almond milk til desired consistency
Directions:
Place all ingredients into blender in the order listed above. Blend until smooth and creamy! You can add quick oats if you’d like to make the smoothie more filling. Enjoy for breakfast or after a workout! 🍍🌴🌺
Picking up a smoothie from smoothie stands is great and delicious, but there’s nothing better than making your own and knowing exactly what fresh ingredients are going into it! (And how much sugar.)
Remember, it’s all about real ingredients.
By the way, a sliced banana always adds awesome flavor and texture to a smoothie. Consider adding one to my recipe above!
Good luck with this week’s fitness challenge! Let me know how it’s going for you!
yum! looks so good and ballet barre would be so much fun! I used to do ballet too 🙂
